The Marian National Cadre Corps (MNCC) at St. Mary’s School instils discipline, patriotism, and leadership qualities among students. This prestigious club is designed to shape young minds into responsible citizens who are ready to serve the nation with honour and integrity. Through structured training, students develop physical fitness, mental toughness, and a strong sense of duty.
NCC plays a crucial role in moulding future leaders by fostering self-discipline, confidence, and teamwork. Cadets undergo rigorous training in drills, group activities, and leadership exercises, preparing them to take on responsibilities with dedication and courage.
The NCC programme includes structured physical training, endurance-building exercises, and adventure activities such as trekking, camping, and obstacle courses. These activities enhance resilience, promote fitness, and develop a spirit of camaraderie among cadets.
A key objective of NCC is to instil patriotism and social responsibility in students. Cadets participate in various community service initiatives, including Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, blood donation camps, and disaster relief programmes, fostering a strong connection with society.
NCC cadets receive basic military training, including parade drills, weapon handling (under supervision), and survival tactics. These sessions are conducted in collaboration with defence personnel to instil discipline and preparedness in students.
Our NCC cadets actively participate in national-level camps such as Republic Day Camp (RDC), Thal Sainik Camp (TSC), and Combined Annual Training Camps (CATC), where they showcase their skills, interact with cadets from across the country, and experience real-time leadership challenges.
Being a part of NCC opens up various opportunities for students in defence services, civil services, and other leadership roles. Exceptional cadets are eligible for scholarships and preference in recruitment for the armed forces, paramilitary services, and government jobs.
The National Cadre Corps is not just about training but about shaping students into confident, disciplined, and service-oriented individuals. Through this club, we nurture young minds to become future leaders who are ready to serve their community and nation with pride.
