Marian Art and Craft Club at St. Mary’s School

Marian Art and Craft Club (MARCC)

Creativity knows no bounds, and at Marian Art and Craft Club (MARCC), we provide students with an artistic platform to express their imagination through diverse forms of art and craft. From traditional techniques to contemporary innovations, our club nurtures the creative spirit of budding artists.

Exploring Different Art Forms

Students get hands-on experience in sketching, painting, clay modeling, origami, and various traditional and modern art techniques. We encourage them to experiment with different mediums, including watercolours, acrylics, charcoal, and digital art.

Crafting with Creativity

Craft activities like paper quilling, pottery, macramé, and upcycling waste materials into beautiful artwork help students enhance their creativity and fine motor skills while developing a sustainable and innovative mindset.

Fostering Cultural and Artistic Appreciation

Art is a reflection of culture and heritage. Our club introduces students to traditional Indian art forms such as Madhubani painting, Warli art, and Rangoli, alongside global artistic styles, helping them appreciate cultural diversity in the world of art.

Art Exhibitions & Competitions

Students get opportunities to showcase their artwork in school exhibitions, inter-school art contests, and national-level competitions. These events help build confidence, improve presentation skills, and inspire a love for artistic expression.

Collaborative Learning & Teamwork

Our club promotes teamwork through collaborative projects such as mural painting, stage decorations, and theme-based installations. This encourages peer learning, cooperation, and creativity in group settings.

Therapeutic & Emotional Well-being

Art has therapeutic benefits, helping students relieve stress, improve focus, and express emotions freely. Our art therapy sessions encourage mindfulness and relaxation, fostering a positive and healthy mindset.

Skill Development for the Future

Beyond passion, art and craft skills can be developed into professional careers. We introduce students to the fields of graphic design, animation, fashion design, and visual arts, inspiring them to explore creative career pathways.

The Marian Art and Craft Club (MARCC) is a vibrant space for young artists to discover their artistic potential, build confidence, and bring their imagination to life. Through colours, textures, and forms, we celebrate the joy of creativity and expression.
